consultation

During our initial consultation, we will determine a creative direction for your invitation or project based on your ideas, style and budget when you fill out our information form. Fabric swatches, pictures from magazines and favorite colors are great sources of inspiration. Be prepared to discuss the quantity of stationery pieces needed as well as the information you would like to convey to your guests. Meeting in person at our Coralville studio will allow you to see samples of our custom work and to get to know the designer you will be working with, however we work with couples from all over Iowa and the United States.

A price quote is then prepared based on your specific project requirements. It is our goal to design the invitation and coordinating elements of your dreams while staying within your budget. If you are happy with the consultation and quote, we will ask you to sign a contract and to pay a non-refundable deposit.

design

Following your consultation, you can send your designer the wording of your invitation text and images if they will be used. Visit our downloads page for some useful tools regarding wording and templates for your invitation wording. Once we have received the proper text, the design process will proceed. You will receive electronic full color proofs, and at this time have the opportunity to make any necessary changes to the wording, graphics or overall design of your invitation suite. We prefer changes via email as it reduces revision errors. Once your changes have been made, you will receive another round of electronic proofs. It will be your responsibility to review and confirm that every design detail is to your satisfaction, including the spelling, grammar and punctuation.

proofing

Once you have approved the e-mail proof, we will print a full mock up proof for you to see in person at our studio. We can always mail the proof to you if you do not live in the Iowa City/Coralville area. This is to ensure that everything lays out the way you have envisioned and to verify that the print color is correct. You will then be asked to authorize the printed proof with an appropriate signature and provide final quantities of pieces on the proof form. Once this has been received, Zephyr Weddings is not responsible for any errors or omissions on the final printed documents, however we promise that no design will go to print unless you are completely satisfied.

Please, carefully proof your design files during every step of the design process. Once you have given final approval and signed off on your printed proof, Zephyr Weddings is not responsible for formatting and/or typographical errors on the final product. All errors, including spelling, punctuation, layout, format and typestyle are the full responsibility of the client. No exceptions. If you should choose to reprint due to errors of any kind, you are responsible for 100 percent of the reproduction costs – including any custom ordered stock.

printing

When you have given final approval, the printing and production process begins. This step will take anywhere from three days to two weeks. All of the printing and all of the finishing services such as cutting, scoring and folding are completed in-house. Our design team oversees every detail of the production to ensure that your project will exceed your expectations.
